The KIA invites the community to Nuestro Futuro, a free evening celebrating Latinx art, culture, and visions of the future. Held in conjunction with the exhibition Future Now: Virtual Sneakers to Cutting-Edge Kicks, this special Free Thursday experience centers creativity, innovation, and community connection.
Guests will enjoy free admission, live performances by Latinx artists, a DJ, free food, prizes, and a hands-on art activity. Local Latinx artists will be invited to showcase their work, and community organizations will be present to share resources and connect with visitors. Nuestro Futuro is designed as a welcoming, bilingual space for families, youth, and first-time visitors to explore the exhibition, celebrate culture, and imagine what the future can look like when art and community move forward together.
Future Now: Virtual Sneakers to Cutting-Edge Kicks is co-organized by the American Federation of Arts and the Bata Shoe Museum, and curated by Elizabeth Semmelhack, Director and Senior Curator of the Bata Shoe Museum.
