Created by Vanessa Gould, the award-winning documentary Between the Folds follows the stories of ten artists and scientists whose work applies the art of origami in unexpected ways. The film examines both traditional and unconventional approaches to origami art, then explores the work of mathematicians, scientists, and educators who use origami as a tool for research and pedagogy. Illuminating the close connections between art and science, the film celebrates the vast worlds of knowledge and creative expression that can be unlocked starting with a deceptively simple square of paper. Between the Folds was produced by Green Fuse Films and PBS Independent Lens. It has a run time of 56 minutes.
