About our Honorees
Our honorees for the evening are Joy & Tim Light.

For more than 35 years, Joy and Tim Light have been dedicated patrons of the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Their passion for East Asian art and commitment to philanthropy has made a lasting impact on the KIA.
Joy and Tim’s deep engagement culminated in the establishment of the Joy Light Gallery of Asian Art in 2007, and the Joy Light East Asian Art Acquisition and Exhibition Fund in 2010. Both the gallery and acquisition fund have been integral in helping the KIA build a dynamic collection. Thanks to their vision and generosity, visitors are provided experiences that reveal the profound beauty and depth found in East Asian art.
