2011 High School Area Show

May 21 - June 19, 2011

This annual juried exhibition is open to artists 18 years or younger in grades 9-12 residing in Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties. Juror Paul Flickinger, Instructor of Art / Ceramics, Art Appreciation, Foundation Art at the Gwen Frostic School of Art at Western Michigan University, selected 104 works to be included in the exhibition.   • Frances Lesatz: $100 KIA Kirk Newman Art School summer 2011 scholarship
  • Frances Lesatz, Erin McGuire and Jake Vogds: Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University Portfolio Scholarships of up to $12,000 each
  • Frances Lesatz, Jake Vogds, and Kevin Wolf: Cleveland Institute of Art scholarships of up to $40,000
  • Alec Rager: $500 Cleveland Institute of Art Summer Program scholarship for a sophomore or junior
