Register Your Budding Artists for Spring Art Camp
at the Kirk Newman Art School

Kalamazoo, MI - Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Spring break is just around the corner, and there is still time to register your budding artist for Spring Art Camp at the Kirk Newman Art School!

Full day and half day art camps are available and open for children grades 1 - 6.

Date: Monday - Friday, March 29 - April 2.
Full Day: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Half Day: 9 a.m. - noon or 1-4 p.m.

Students will be introduced to works of art from the KIA's current exhibitions and the Permanent Collection. These artworks will inspire the creation of a sculpture, a painting and a print. Students should bring their imagination and creativity and for those who are attending a full day, a sack lunch.

All materials are provided.

Also, registration for Spring and Summer Classes opens on Monday, March 15th! Classes for adults, teenagers and children are available in a variety of art mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry making, weaving and much, much more! Day, evening and weekend classes are available to accommodate busy schedules.

Some of our new spring classes include: Bead Embellishments for Textiles, Make-and-Take-Laced Pendant and Rome: The Eternal City art appreciation. We also are offering three Visiting Artist Workshops!
