2015 Arts Fair Czuk WINNER

KALAMAZOO, MI - The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is pleased to announce the cash prize winners for their 64th Annual Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair. Over $3,000 was awarded to Arts Fair artists on June 5 at 9 pm. The winners were selected by a team of jurors, led by Don Desmett, Director of Exhibitions, Richmond Center for Visual Arts, Western Michigan University.

The fair continues Saturday, June 6, from 9 am to 5 pm, with children's activities from 10-4 pm, 187 artists showcasing their artwork, and music all day on two stages, including performances by the Mall City Harmonizers, the Crescendo Fiddlers, and wrapup headliners Zion Lion, 3-5 pm. About the jurors
Jurying different mediums this year are professional artists working in those areas (unless noted). Ceramics: Mary Kuilema; Fiber/Leather, Maryellen Hains; Glass, Jennifer DiGiuseppe, Victoria Hollister, and Bobbe Luce of the West Michigan Glass Art Center; Metal, Paul Mergen, artist/professor emeritus, Western Michigan University; Photography, Adam Kuehl; Wood, D. Neil Bremer, Executive Director, Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo. Eligibility jurors: Kelli Jackson, Susan McHenry, Michael Parr, Corinne Satterlee.

Lead sponsors for the fair are PNC and Discover Kalamazoo. The 2016 Arts Fair will be the KIA's 65th and applications will be open this fall.
