Bring your family to the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts on Sunday, November 11, 2-4 pm for a fun and interactive Sunday Funday! Local artist Melody Allen, who is a featured artist in the Great Lakes Pastel Society National Show 2012, now open in the KIA galleries, will guide children and their families in a pastel art making experience. All materials will be provided.

Included is an interactive tour experience of the Great Lakes Pastel Society exhibition. Sunday Funday is free and open to the public. For more information, call (269) 349-7775.

New! Get the Picture Gallery Talks - November 15, 12 pm

Luis Jimenez's El Buen Pastor

Starting in November, the KIA will host a series of gallery talks called Get the Picture Gallery Talks aimed at providing a more exclusive and interactive opportunity for adults to discuss 1-2 works of art per session with KIA curatorial staff. A new work of art will be featured each month starting with Luis Jimenez's El Buen Pastor on Thursday, November 15 at noon.

Registration is required as space is limited. There is a fee of $5 for KIA Members, and $7 for non-members. For more information and to register, call (269) 349-7775 or register online.
