The holidays are just around the corner, and it's likely you are already thinking about unique gifts for that special someone. Why not make something one of a kind? Join Visiting Artist Wannaree Tanner at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts October 26-28 and learn how to make a personalized book locket out of metal clay!

Using COPPRclay, learn how to create a beautiful book locket complete with hinge and bail. Personalize it with a tiny message! Each design will be unique and you will learn how to simplify construction to make pieces fit together right from the start. Finishing, firing methods and tips will also be covered.

This workshop requires a firm working knowledge of metal clay as there will be limited time to cover any basic skills. Students will receive a supply list prior to the workshop. Enrollment is limited so early registration is recommended.
