There are many options for summer classes and camps for parents to choose from, so why the Kirk Newman Art School?
"I love coming here for art camp, I come every year. I'm not graded, I get to be creative and not have to worry about grades."
"The teachers here are really cool. They are fun. I don't feel like I'm in summer school and I get to use real art tools like the adults do."
"Its not boring arts and crafts, I get to make really cool stuff here!"
These are just a few of the comments heard by students who attend art classes and camps at the Kirk Newman Art School. Children of all ages love coming here because its not a one-size-fits-all approach. There is a class for every child depending on their age, skill set and interest. Whether you have a finger painter or a young Ansel Adams, there is an art class here for your child.
More importantly, the instructors at the Kirk Newman Art School aren't volunteers, they are practicing, professional artists and are able to address your child's creative needs at any stage, while instilling passion and excitement for art.

If your child is unsure what kind of art they are interested in, we recommend they attend an Art Camp where they will have the chance to try a few different media. Inspired by our exhibitions and permanent collection, children will have the opportunity to work in 2-D and 3-D media including drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpting.
There are multiple camp options, with half-day and full-day options that will easily fit in with summer family plans. Best of all, there is even an Art Camp in August, perfect for battling those dog days of summer blues. For more information and to register for Art Camps, click here.
The Kirk Newman Art School also has dozens of fun summer art classes for adults too! Space is limited, so don't delay, find a class that fits your creative muse and register today.
