KIA Hosts 7th Annual Teen Filmmakers Festival
Friday, February 26, 6:30 - 9 p.m.

Kalamazoo, MI - Wednesday, February 17, 2010. They're ready for their close-up Mr. DeMille! The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is proud to host its 7th Annual Teen Filmmakers Festival on Friday, February 26, 6:30 - 9 p.m.

Come enjoy films made by some of Michigan's most talented teens! Admission is free. Seventy-four films were submitted for consideration and 27 qualified to be screened by the public and judges.

Michigan teens ages 13-18 will compete and be evaluated by three expert judges. Awards will recognize best film, best animation, best experimental film, best documentary, best short film (under three minutes), best technical merit, best music video, and people's choice.

The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is a nonprofit art museum and school. Since 1924, the institute has offered art classes and free-admission programming, including exhibitions, lectures, events, activities and a permanent collection.
