Jolley and Rush

October 10, 10 am: Art League Lecture: Glass by Richard Jolley and Tommie Rush: Meet glass artists Richard Jolley and his wife Tommie Rush, who are widely known by collectors, museums and students for their interesting, beautifully constructed, and sometimes technically difficult works in glass. A reception will immediately follow. This program complements the KIA's exhibition, Expressions: International Glass Invitational, open through November 4.

This lecture is free for Art League Members/$10 for KIA Members/$12 for general admission and $3 for students with current college I.D.

Frankenthaler's Blues Title

October 11 & 18, 6:30 pm: Up Close: Helen Frankenthaler's Blues: The KIA's Code Blue is a stunning example of Helen Frankenthaler's expressive exploration of the color blue. Learn the significance this color held for Frankenthaler throughout her career. This class, part of the Up Close: Exploring the Collection series, will highlight examples of Frankenthaler's graphic work in the collection. Participants will also get to explore their own preferences for the color blue, by creating a small collage.

This program is $20 for KIA Members/$30 for non-members. Registration is available online, or by phone at (269) 349-7775. Up Close: Exploring the Collection is sponsored by Educational Community Credit Union.
