With the winter being so mild, its hard to believe that spring is just around the corner. Things are already beginning to heat up at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. Check out these great events coming up this week!

Art & All That Jazz
Friday, March 9: 5:30 - 7:30 pm

It's Back! Join us for Art & All That Jazz, featuring our musical guest, Zion Lion!

$4 general admission/Free for KIA Members

Includes treats from Panera Bread, beer from Bell's Brewery and wine from Imperial Beverage! Gallery tours of Object of Devotion: Medieval English Alabaster Sculpture from the Victoria and Albert Museum are included.

Visiting Artist Workshop: Bede Clarke: Directions in Clay
Saturday and Sunday: March 10-11, 9 am - 5 pm

KIA Members: $125, Non-Members: $130
A non-refundable cancellation fee of $25 will be charged.
No refunds after February 24.

Professional artist Bede Clarke will lead students through a workshop on wheelthrown and altered pottery as well as drawing/painting on clay wall tiles. Clarke will talk about his work, his influences and philosophy - demonstrating as well as discussing glazing and firing.
