Summer is officially here! Has your little tyke already uttered the dreaded, "I'm bored?" If so, then its time to register for Art Camp! The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts' Art School is currently offering summer art camps, and its not too late to enroll!
The KIA Art School offers more than the traditional arts & crafts summer camps. Our classes are led by practicing artists, and children have the opportunity to try their hand at a variety of mediums. Intended to inspire a life-long love of art, our art camps are designed to unleash the creative spirit in your child!
Summer campers will be inspired by the current museum exhibition and the Permanent Collection. Students will tour the museum with an informative discussion lead by their teachers. Campers will then return to the art studios to pursue their two- and three-dimensional artistic endeavors. Each session will present a different creative process, giving students the opportunity to attend more than one camp. All materials are provided. Please be sure to enroll your child in the grade level he or she will be entering in the fall of 2011.
Full days and half days are available for your convenience. For more information and to register, click here or call (269) 349-7775 ext. 3101.
