From the search for inspiration, through the carving of wood and the spread of ink, into conversations with philosopher and writer Mark Nepo on the value of creative work, filmmaker and artist Mary Brodbeck introduces us to the world of Japanese wood block printmaking. Travel with Mary to Japan to meet many woodblock print artists, see some of the finest examples of this genre at the Toledo Museum of Art and learn how the Great Lakes' land and water inspires Mary's own woodblock prints.
