The Eloquent Light

In Ansel Adams' masterful prints, we see that not only was he photographing the landscape of the American West, but the light, the weather, and a mystical sense of place.
A perceptive artist and meticulous craftsman and teacher who mastered the technology of his day, Adams continued the work of 19th Century photographers such as William Henry Jackson who first showed Americans parts of their country that most had never seen. Adams was one of the nation's great proponents of conservation.

Join photographer and KIA docent Dave Curl as we examine the work of a uniquely American artist at the peak of his productivity.
