Pristine America: The Lithographs of Grant Wood and Stow Wengenroth
$30 members/$40 non-members

In the mid 1930s, American artists began to find inspiration in their immediate surroundings. Two artists who created iconic images of their respective regions were Grant Wood in Iowa and Stow Wengenroth in Maine. Some of their finest work was done as lithographs, a process of drawing and printing that was undergoing a revival at the time. The KIA collection includes a fine selection of lithographs by both artists as well as other Regionalist artists. In addition, program will also include a demonstration of lithographic process.
