Admission is $4 (KIA Members free!) Those who donate to Art Against Hunger can enjoy half-priced admission! Complimentary food from Panera Bread is included. Beer and wine from Imperial Beverages will be available for purchase. Galleries will be open.

Among the festivities for the evening is the opening of the Kirk Newman Art School Faculty Review. Many of the artists whose work will be featured will be in attendance and much of the art shown will be available for purchase.

Also featured will be local artist Steve Curl. As part of Art Against Hunger, Curl will have created an interactive art sculpture using donated canned goods. The finished structure will be featured in the KIA school commons area during Art & All That Jazz. Steve Curl is a popular Michigan artist known for his use of discarded metals like aluminum to create robots and other fun free-standing sculptures like Japathar, a popular attraction at the KIA Art Fair.

For those looking to get a jump start on their holiday shopping, be sure to swing by the KIA Gallery Shop and check out the wares of local jewelers Meg Tang, Ligita Samsons, Karen Matson and others. Stunning pieces of sterling silver, enamel and semi-precious stones will be for sale. What a unique gift for that special someone!
