While many of his sculptures are famous landmarks or housed in major museums, Augustus Saint-Gaudens remains largely unknown by the American public. This PBS documentary highlights six of the major works of this remarkable artist. Among them are the statue of Abraham Lincoln in Chicago's Lincoln Park and the Shaw Memorial in Boston, considered to be one of the finest works of 19th century American sculpture.
