A Tribal Member of Citizen Potawatomi Nation, photographer Sharon Hoogstraten describes her five-year photographic portrait project of Potawatomi Indians in regalia as the story of wholly modern people preserving the traditional dress of their ancestors whilst also making it relevant to contemporary living and their own personal stories.
