Jiha Moon

In Kalamazoo to help install her exhibition Double Welcome, Most Everyone's Made Here, multi-media artist Jiha Moon was born in Korea and is now based in Atlanta, Georgia. Moon harvests cultural elements native to Korea, Japan, and China and then unites them with Western elements to investigate the multi-faceted nature of our current global identity. She explores the influences of popular culture, technology, racial perceptions, and folklore in compositions that appear both familiar and foreign simultaneously.

ARTbreak is a weekly program about art, artists and exhibitions. Donations welcome. Bring your brown bag lunch, coffee provided. Sponsored by
