KIA Member Registration begins three weeks before Community Registration each semester. Registration for classes may be made in person, by mail, by fax, or over the phone. Payment in full for classes is required upon registration. Cash, check, MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted. Tuition is not prorated for late registration or absences. Member registration begins July 14
Community registration begins August 4

Fall classes for adults begin September 11 and end December 4

Summer classes for children begin September 13 and end November 22

Scholarship Applications are due August 26 for Fall and December 9 for Winter. For an application form, contact the KIA Registration Desk at 269.349.7775, ext. 3101.

Class cancellations

Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment. In the event a class is canceled, full refunds will be issued.

Refunds

A $20 registration fee is withheld from all refunds. An additional $20 is withheld after the first class. No refunds are given the day each class begins its second week. Refunds for classes meeting less than six weeks will only be given the day after the first class meeting. Refund requests for visiting-artist workshops and one-or two-day workshops may be made up to two days before the workshop begins or as stated. An additional workshop registration fee may be withheld if noted in the class schedule. A $20 returned check fee will be charged by the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. These policies are strictly enforced.

Class cancellations due to weather

Classes may be canceled due to bad weather. In the event of storms or inclement weather, students should phone the KIA or tune their radio to AM 590 or FM 102.1, or watch WOTV, Channel 41 or WWMT, Channel 3 television. When possible, classes will be rescheduled by the instructor.
