The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts presents its two-day arts fair June 3-4, with 190 exhibitors expected in Bronson Park. The fair runs Friday, 3-8 pm, and Saturday, 9 am-5 pm.
Friday features music on the Rotary stage, food trucks on South Street, and a beer garden at the KIA, 4-10 pm. Saturday features children's activities 10 am-4 pm - including the popular Art Detectives scavenger hunt -- and music performances on two stages. Friday's beer garden, outside the KIA, features grilled fare by Papa Pete's, Bell's brews on tap, wine, and soft drinks.
The fair's title sponsor is PNC, and presenting sponsor is Discover Kalamazoo. Co-sponsors are Bell's Brewing, Biggby Coffee, Eaton, Fabri-Kal, Harding's Friendly Markets, River Street Flowerland, Schupan & Sons Inc., WMUK, CTS Telecom, and Advance Protection.
Parking can be found at street meters and municipal lots, and KIA lots on South and Lovell. On Saturday, 9 am-1 pm, portions of South, Lovell, and Park are closed for the Do Dah parade. For more information, go online at kiarts.org, or call (269) 349-7775.
