Introducing Kalamazoo Artist Robert Morris

The Gallery Shop is now carrying work from local ceramicist Robert Morris. Morris works primarily in crystalline glazes which are specialty glazes that show visible and distinct crystal growth in the fired glaze. The crystals develop halos, starbursts and auroras which record changing conditions within the kiln. Chance and serendipity play a great part in crystalline-glazed pottery as much as extensive record-keeping, experience and observation.
