Art and mathematics have a long and fascinating connection. Dr. Arthur T. White of WMU's Mathematics Department focuses on some of the famous artists (Botticelli, Durer, Cezanne, Dali, Magritte) whose works demonstrate mathematical concepts. In addition, Dr. White will explore the work of M. C. Escher, the favorite artist of many mathematicians.
ARTbreak is a free weekly series of talks and programs about art, artists and exhibitions. Bring your lunch-- coffee and cookies provided. Sponsored by The Fountains at Bronson Place
